Jennifer Jenkins, Chief Engagement Officer
Jennifer Jenkins, Principal, has nearly 20 years of experience in the clean energy industry, including her tenure as the founding Executive Director of DWEA. She is a leading expert in business development for distributed generation and has held leadership roles focused on strategy and business development with the American Wind Energy Association, REpowering Schools, Solar Energy Trade Shows, and Idaho National Laboratory.
In her current role, Ms. Jenkins works directly with industry leaders, rural stakeholders, and policymakers to find opportunities to connect and grow the clean tech market in a safe and equitable manner.

Britton Rife, VP of Communications
Britton Rife has 15 years of experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders to promote the use of clean energy resources and technologies through outreach, policy, and market analysis endeavors. She has direct experience organizing industry and community educational events and workshops, including for rural and agricultural audiences.
In her role at Mana Group, she has supported distributed wind industry stakeholder engagement for the U.S. Department of Energy Wind Energy Technologies Office-funded RADWIND project, and she previously supported communications, stakeholder engagement, and reporting for the U.S. Department of Commerce/National Institute of Standards and Technology funded SMART Wind project.

Laura Moorefield
Laura Moorefield is an independent consultant on energy efficiency policy, emerging technology, and program design. Since 2005, she has been influential in the development of innovative programs and policies for clients, including the US EPA, California Energy Commission, Nevada Energy, PG&E, Edison Foundation, and NRDC. She led national consulting efforts on federal lighting policy and the resulting updates to long-standing utility programs.
For the past decade, her focus has been on rural energy issues as a consultant to the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) and electric cooperatives. She has authored numerous reports and presented at industry conferences on these and other topics.

Brad Clark, Strategic Advisors
Brad Clark brings 25 years of expertise designing, implementing, measuring, and optimizing policy and practice systems for education and workforce nonprofits, governmental agencies, P-20 academic and economic development institutions, employers, and philanthropies across clean energy, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, education and ed tech, retail, and cybersecurity sectors with a particular focus on increasing economic mobility for underrepresented workers, guiding corporate responsibility strategy, and integrating systems in rural energy communities.
He is the Founder and CEO of Latent Talent Accelerator, an Appalachian grant writing and strategic consulting firm, the Vice President of Social Impact for Edelen Renewables, a Kentucky-based solar developer, the Director of the Kentucky Solar Energy Industries Association, Senior Project Manager on Accelerating Appalachia’s eight state regenerative farming and supply chain initiatives, and is the Senior Director of Community Benefits on the OCED CEML-awarded Mineral Basin Solar Project in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. Brad was recently nominated for a National Geographic Wayfinder Award for his commitment to removing barriers to accessibility, building education and career advancement opportunities for marginalized youth and adults, and creating long-term positive change in the communities he serves.

Nathan Schmitt
Nathan (Nate) Schmitt joined the renewable energy industry after more than a decade of teaching high school Chemistry and Physics. He was a graduate intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), and he produced sales and analysis tools for several distributed wind companies. As a member of the DOE-grant-funded RADWIND project team, he co-authored reports on the finance, business, and technical aspects of distributed wind development in rural electric cooperatives. He earned an MS in Mechanical Engineering in Renewable and Sustainable Energy from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a BA cum laude in Biology from Harvard University.

Charles Newcomb, Technology advisor
Charles’ experience has been developed over 28 years in the renewable energy sector with 12 of those years spent at NREL’s National Wind Technology Center where he conducted performance and application tests of wind turbines, supported governmental agencies as a subject matter expert, lead a team in developing the USDA’s technical requirements for the REAP program, and managed the DOE’s Wind and Water Power Deployment group.
Charles’ industry experience includes serving as a Customer Insights Manager for mCloud, Managing Director for Entegrity Wind Systems, Technology Director for Endurance Wind Power, Vice President of Portfolio for Hoss Consulting, and Chief Technology Officer for NexGen Energy Partners. As part of the Mana Group, Charles supports utility stakeholder engagement activities and community benefits planning.
Charles holds a Master of Science in Biological and Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Oberlin College.

Bill Kight, Communications
Bill brings 25 years of experience in communications, PR, community engagement, and business development. With extensive experience leading and orchestrating engagement events and initiatives, Bill is well-versed in a wide range of disciplines, including environmental consulting, bioremediation, brand strategy and development, and partnership initiatives.
Bill has worked as Director of Communications and Business Development for various local governments and counties, and his expertise and leadership have fostered successful collaborations and driven organizational growth. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Soil, Water, and Environmental Sciences, as well as a Master of Science from the University of Arizona.
